An Introduction

The internet can be a dark and horrible place. It's the one point where all bad things meet - and I'm going to put some of my personal information on it. I live in Omaha, Nebraska with my sister and parents. I'm a die-hard Husker (football) fan, which isn't good for my health. I like to keep up with current events and discuss the implications of them. I have an opinion about everything, and as far as I can tell, I'm always right. A hobby of mine consists of me trying to get people to realize this. I have severe stultophobia, which makes life quite hard. My favorite brand of humor is the dry, sarcastic variety. I hold (personal) responsibility as the most important of the virtues. It's easy to blame one's shortcomings on others, it's difficult to own up to mistakes. I myself can use a lot of work in this area. I also value efficiency and pragmatism. Hard work is something I admire, mostly because I find it so difficult to motivate myself. My goal in life is to get by with the least effort possible. I know, I'm a hypocrite.

In my opinion, politics are very interesting and important. While they are dull and frustrating at first look, they're significant because they influence almost every facet of daily life in some way. I have disdain for each major party's politics, and I think one is just as corrupt as the other. My opinions on policy tend to correspond to the Democrats' more often than not. I don't consider myself either liberal or conservative because I feel these labels are simplistic, limiting, and more importantly, divisive.
